Life is not only about surviving, but also about thriving. And Scott Mueller? Oh, he does both.
You all know Scott Mueller as an ALL-STAR wealth adviser here at FSB. He is also one of the most in-demand mortgage loan officers in our entire Cedar Valley because he also works for our sister company, Farmers State Bank. Needless to say, he is extremely busy. But Scott wouldn't have it any other way. His passion and energy for life exude to all those around him. Scott and his wife Sarah have two very active boys, Jacob (10) and Lucas (8), and the Mueller family has crafted quite a very beautiful life together, indeed.
What you may not know about Scott is he is a survivor. Years ago, he collapsed of sudden cardiac arrest when out on a typical morning run, and it is honestly a miracle he survived. Overcoming that experience has served to make him even stronger and more determined, which is perhaps part of the reason he drives himself to really live each day to its absolute fullest.
Scott is a 2004 graduate from the University of Northern Iowa, and he remains an avid Panther Basketball fan and catches a game at McLeod whenever he can. He is also an active fan of the Chicago Cubs and road trips to Wrigley.
Always being one to give back to his community, he is also a Board Member for the Iowa Heartland Habitat for Humanity, and Sarah enjoys attending any fundraiser with him that involves a silent auction. Shopping and a good cause? Sign us up!
Scott loves spending time on the lake with Sarah and the boys on their boat. Any lake will do the trick!
He often cooks with a smoker and his family, friends, and neighbors often get to enjoy the benefits of his efforts. Looks delicious!
Whenever possible, Scott and Sarah travel and seek out the many adventures our picturesque world has to offer. Sometimes they even let the kids come along :)
On a warm summer eve, you'll often find Scott dropping the top down on his Jeep and grabbing Sarah and the kids to head out on yet another adventure, cruising on (or off) the road and waving to all those who drive by. Those smiles and hellos are genuine, from one man and his family who fully appreciates and understands what was nearly lost.
In all the busyness and the craziness that life brings, let's each take a moment and remember something: we are breathing and still here for at least today, and therefore, today is good.
